Paint enables me to communicate certain thoughts, emotions and ideas. I love the experience of painting, from mixing colors, the smell of linseed oil, even caring for the brushes. I also enjoy spending time amongst artists; their great energy and enthusiasm reinvigorates my own creative spark.

I enjoy painting a variety of subjects, but my overall favorites are usually of uncomplicated compositions. I like examining simple objects in closer detail, such as the cotton stems below.
